TEA and CINEMA

Japanese tea, english tea...etc.. Introducing movies that make you think of tea. Enjoy tea time while watching a movie according to your mood.

Popular essayist Noriko Morishita wrote "Every Day is a Good Day: 15 Things Tea Taught Me About Happiness," a book that describes the many realizations and moving experiences she had while attending a tea ceremony class every day. This film stars Haru Kuroki, Kirin Kiki, and Mikako Tabe as a drama about her life. The director is Tatsushi Omori, who also directed "Mahoro Ekimae Tada Benriken" and "Goodbye Valley."

SHOGUN

Although it is a Hollywood movie, it stars Japanese actors such as Hiroyuki Sanada and Tadanobu Asano. Sanada plays Toranaga Yoshii, a fictional character modeled on Tokugawa Ieyasu. The story is about a navigator named John Blackthorn who is shipwrecked on Ieyasu Tokugawa's territory and ends up getting caught up in a power struggle between warlords. The scene where he drinks matcha tea is very touching.

MY FAIR LADY

The beautiful Audrey Hepburn plays a flower girl from the downtown area, who by chance learns pronunciation correction from linguist Professor Higgins and transforms into a beautiful lady. There is also a scene where she learns how to serve tea like a lady. The costumes were designed by Givenchy, which is also worth seeing.
